Aegina-Unexpected Emotion - 3 days
For this trip I did not plan anything. I was left in the experience of all those that had guided me. Unexpectedly, I was fascinated by:
- the mansions and pine trees
- the inland sweeteness overlooking the sea
- the cultivation of pistachio trees
Transfer to your hotel. If you arrive early in Aegina there is time for swimming and the opportunity to visit the archeological sites of the island.
Route 1
Τhe route is neither demanding nor long. Good orientation along with the directions from the app you will receive, are the only things needed. Through the paths at Agios Nectarios you will explore Paleochora and all its churches. Then you can head to Mesagros, a route with excellent views and a dense pine forest and reach the monastery of Agios Minas where you can gaze the village of Agια Marina by the sea. The road to Agia Marina is quiet. After passing the temple of Aphaia, you will be lead to the beach of Agia Marina by a wide path. Swimming there is sensational! Of course before going down to the beach, you can stop at Kyriakakis tavern for some rest accompanied by meze and ouzo.

PS: If you don't want to walk the route from Ag. Nektarios to Messagros, you can start your walk from Mesagros and go to Ag. Marina.

Route 2 - Cycling to Perdika and back
We suggest taking the evening ferry to have time to do the easy route from Aegina to Perdika and back by bike. Cycle through a quiet road parallel to the coastline and continue till the fishing village of Perdika. Take a break for a coffee in Perdika and cycle back.

Traveling without car but by ferry from Piraeus, in order to reduce the ecological footprint of your trip, is suggested. On the ferry you will have time to relax and get in "vacational" mood.
In Aegina you can go to beginning of the suggested walks by public bus. There aren't frequent itineraries but they are on time.
Don't forget that transfers to and from the hotel are included, so you don't have to walk with your luggage.
