Methana, Discover the peninsula on foot

You will walk along the sea front and around the "Nissaki", along the thermal springs. Then head inland and gradually ascend through quiet paved roads. You walk on the level of the area called "Vromolimni". From there you walk on a large dirt road, enjoying wonderful sea views.

 Distance of total hiking route: 6.3 km

You arrive by taxi at the height of the Oga Acropolis and if you want you can visit it. You go uphill and reach Kypseli. After Kypseli you ascending through a narrow path and tarmac road that you follow and after 1.3 km you reach the crater Stavrolongos and then you descend to the city of Methana.

 Distance of total hiking route: 11 km

A round route with great views and many different elements. You start on a quiet tarmac road, walk for 10 minutes from Megalochori to Megalo Potami enjoying a view of the bay of Epidaurus and the small port of Vathi. You will find ruined villages and craters and you will end up in Megalochori again. A little demanding route with impressive discoveries.

If you have a car you could go to see the active crater in Kameni.

But if you do not have a car you can swim in the thermal baths of the city.
