Maria in Tinos

21 Jul 2020

It was the first time, after so many times that I have been to Tinos, that the wind did not bother me at all. On the contrary, I welcomed it. And that was because I had discovered a different Tinos. Tinos island through its paths!

It was the first time I realized that if a child walks short routes at the age of 4, they can easily stand 10 km at the age of 7. Imagine how many kilometers they will walk when they are 10 or 12.

And what can I say about the trails. Walk and enjoy different landscapes, green or more rocky. Stop to cut some berries or figs and stop again on a hill to admire the wonderful view. And at the end of the route you will end up in a village to cool off with a lemonade or a dessert and return refreshed. The return is always faster!

Early in the afternoon enjoy your swim on whichever beach there isn't any wind and you eat delicious, really well-cooked food in the unique tavernas all around. If you want to go to great beach bars and sit there until late at night I can tell you where!
