Day 1After arriving in northern Greece, you travel to Meteora, famous for its dramatic rock formations and monasteries. You stay near Kalambaka or Kastraki, at the foot of the rocks. The rest of the day is free to settle in and enjoy your first views of this unique landscape.
Walking among the monasteries of Meteora
Day 2Today you explore Meteora on foot, following walking trails that pass several monasteries and scenic viewpoints. Along the way, you enjoy panoramic views and learn more about the history and spiritual significance of this remarkable area. A varied day combining nature and culture.
Hidden paths and hermit caves
Day 3You leave the main routes behind and walk along ancient paths past secluded hermit caves hidden among the rocks. This is a peaceful and active day, allowing you to experience Meteora in a more authentic and quiet way.
From Meteora to the Pindos Mountains
Day 4After breakfast, you travel onwards to the Epirus region and the Pindos Mountains. In the afternoon, you enjoy a short introductory walk near your accommodation in the Zagori area, getting a first impression of the mountain landscape.
Walking through the Vikos Gorge
Day 5Today is the highlight of the trip: a walk through the Vikos Gorge. You hike through a dramatic landscape of towering rock walls, riverbeds and wide-open views. An active day in one of the deepest gorges in the world.
Walking around Papingo
Day 6You explore the surroundings of Papingo via old mountain paths winding through the landscape. Along the way, you pass natural rock pools and quiet viewpoints. The walk can easily be combined with time to relax in the village.
Free day in Zagori
Day 7Today you set your own pace. Choose an extra walk, relax in nature or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the mountain village. This free day highlights the slow-adventure character of the journey.
